The Cougar Family is gearing up for our field trip to the Murphy Center on MTSU’s campus on Wednesday.  We will watch the Cougars take on Wayne County at 11:45 a.m.  Students will board the bus at 9:00 a.m. and our goal is to depart our campus at 9:15 a.m.  Students who pre-ordered lunch will eat be given their lunch on the bus prior to arriving at the Murphy Center.  Everyone will have eaten before we enter the game.  Students are required to sit with their class and stay with the teachers/chaperone’s assigned to their class.  To better ensure the safety of each child on the trip, we ask that if your student rides the bus to Murfreesboro that they return to campus on the bus.  Students have the option of attending the game as part of our field trip or with a parent.  Students are also allowed to stay back at school and we will teachers available for those who choose to stay.

We are asking for parent volunteers who would like to ride the bus and chaperone a class.  We cannot guarantee that you will be placed with your child’s class, though we will do our best to assign parents and students together.  We have limited seating available and it will be assigned on a first come basis.  If you would like to ride the bus there will be a $11 fee (and the game ticket price of $10). You may also order the box lunch of a ham and cheese sub sandwich.  If you would like to ride the bus please contact our office ASAP.  We will take volunteers on a first come first serve basis. Please call 647-6311 today!  All parents wanting to attend should RSVP by no later than 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

For those who are driving to the game and want to follow the buses, we ask that you join our caravan along Highway 76/Martin Luther King Jr Blvd.  We should arrive on Highway 76 by 9:30.  We’d love to have a huge caravan of Cougar fans!  For those who can’t be with us in person, but want to listen in, we will be live on 540 AM and also on 105.1 FM.  For up to the minute updates please follow us on Facebook and Twitter!  GO COUGARS!!!!
