Lens Wide Open
Advanced Photography student Alex Styer will have his work displayed in the Brenda Stone Fine Arts Building. On Friday, March 5, Alex will have his reception from 7 – 8pm.

Governor’s School
Branden TenBrink has been accepted to the Governor’s School for the Sciences at U.T Knoxville, and Brandon Carpenter has been accepted to the Governor’s School for the Humanities at U.T. Martin. In addition, Amy Boggs has been accepted to the Governor’s School for Prospective Teachers. Congratulations!

Parent Notice
Please do not park in the lower lot by the gym or on the hill. These spots are assigned student parking. Also, for safety reasons, no student is to be picked up anywhere but out front during regular pick-up times. The cars in the lower lot are creating a distracting and safety hazard.

In addition, please do not leave cars unattended while parked in the pick-up and drop-off lanes. Your cooperation is appreciated.

PowerSchool
Parents may access grades at any time using the Parent Portal at the bottom corner of the CA web-site’s Home page. If you have misplaced your access codes please call the office.

Intermediate School FCA
Intermediate School FCA meets every Wednesday morning at 7:15am in Mrs. Hinson’s 6th grade room. If you are interested in becoming an officer for Intermediate FCA for the 2010-2011 school year, please see either Mrs. Hinson or Ms. Ponder. In addition, Mrs. Hinson has information about FCA Summer Camps. Please stop by and see her if you are interested.

Intermediate Basketball Conditioning
Beginning March 1, basketball conditioning will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 in the auxiliary gym, weather permitting. This will be for girls who are currently 5th, 6th, and 7th graders.

Youth Leadership Clarksville for 11th Grade
Any 11th grade student wishing to apply to Youth Leadership Clarksville may obtain an application from Ms. Mazzei. The deadline is TODAY, March 1.

Juniors
CA has scheduled a mandatory ACT testing date here at CA for ALL of our juniors. We will be paying the testing fees for them. The ACT will be administered on Saturday, April 10. Please mark your calendars now. For the most part, juniors should not take the ACT prior to this date as they have not yet had all of the course work that will be on the test.

AP Exams Week of May 3-7
AP exams will be the weeks of May 3-7 and May 10-14, 2010. All students who are currently enrolled in AP courses are required to take the AP exam for each course. Please remember that the fee for each exam is $86.00. These fees are due in the business office by March 1.

Key Club Corner:
The annual KT-District Key Club Convention is fast approaching. This year’s convention will be held in Nashville on March 19-21. The cost for students is $150.00. We will be handing out registration information soon.

Ongoing collections of laundry supplies and pop-tops are donated to Nashville’s Ronald McDonald House. Members may turn in items for service credit.
