CA Students Get Top Honors!

Here at Clarksville Academy, we are so proud of the accomplishments of all our students. Not only do we have students who excel in athletics, but we also have students excel in academics, leadership and the arts. Below you will find some of our breaking news on exciting things going in our student’s lives.
Sarah Wallace, a Seinor, has successfully completed two rounds of auditions and has been selected for the 2010 Tennessee All-State Choir. The choir will spend 3 days in April in intense rehearsals with a nationally renowned conductor and then will perform on April 17that the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville. Congratulations, Sarah!
Mallory Burman an 8th grader, spent this past weekend participating in Olympic Development School for soccer in San Antonio, TX. This is a great accomplishment for someone of her age! Congrats Mallory!
Our Intermediate School basketball teams both completed their seasons surpassing last year’s records. Ian Campbell was named to the District First Team while Charlsie Powers was District Honorable Mention. Congratulations to both! We’re so proud to call you Cougars!
As many of you know our men’s basketball team scored a victory in Saturday night’s game. Not only did the team rein victorious, but several players were also honored. Martin & Malcolm Smith and Travis Russell, were all named to the All Tournament Team. Malcolm Smith was honored with District Player of the Year and Coach Josh Smith, was named District Coach of the Year. Congratulations to all these guys! Go Cougars!
Intermediate School 6th grade student, Declan Heist, won the Montgomery County Spelling Bee last night. More information with the link to the Leaf Chronicle story to follow in a later post.
